Pen Bay names new OR Clinical Care Coordinator
ROCKPORT — Pen Bay Medical Center has named Evelyn Morano, RN, Clinical Care Coordinator for the hospital’s Operating Room. Morano started in 2023 as a specialty float pool nurse, moving between the operating rooms at Pen Bay and Waldo County General Hospital. Prior to that, she worked as a staff nurse in the operating rooms at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and New England Baptist Hospital, both in Boston, Massachusetts. She had previously worked in Medical/Surgical and Homecare and Hospice roles, bringing seven years of varied nursing experience to the role.
Lobster is not the only draw for this year's Maine Lobster Festival
The lobster won't be the only big draw for the 77th Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland this summer. Organizers announced Wednesday that the USS Delbert D. Black (DDG-119) will be visiting during the festival. The Arleigh Burke-class destroyer will anchor in Rockland Harbor and there will be free tours available to the public. Organizers said exact tour dates and times will be announced later.

I assume the exaggerated figure of $52 million includes interest over the 30-year term of the bonds. However, when taking out a car loan or a mortgage, the amount borrowed (not the amount ultimately paid back) is the correct way of expressing the loan amount. We can disagree about whether to move forward with the proposal, but let’s discuss the matter fairly and stick to the facts.
Teenager hospitalized following four-wheeler crash in Appleton
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A 19-year old was taken to the hospital by medical helicopter after a four-wheeler crash in Appleton Saturday afternoon. According to the Pen Bay Pilot, the teen was ahead of his group on the Collinstown Road. Whey they caught up, they found him on the ground, with the four wheeler on top of him.
