Judge rules against motion to dismiss Glasgow murder case
GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) – A Barren County judge has denied a motion to dismiss a murder case against a Glasgow man. James E. Campbell, 46, of Glasgow was charged with murder Feb. 10 after he allegedly shot Roger Noland of Scottsville in the chest. The shooting happened at a residence located at 1414 N. Race St.
Lone Hickory Farm Vandalized Over Weekend
Lone Hickory Farm & Nursery on Tanyard Road, in Lafayette, Tennessee was vandalized this past Saturday night, September 23, 2023. Dean and Mary Lazarou, owners/operators of Lone Hickory Farm told the Macon County Chronicle they woke up on Sunday morning, headed back out to work at 7 a.m., and discovered it was all destroyed. “It was terrible,” Mary said, “it was the third time our place had been vandalized.”
Weekly Safety Report: Drug Trafficking Case Leads to Closure of Scottsville Motel
A Scottsville man pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges for selling drugs out of a motel he owned in Allen County. The motel will be shut down in 60 days as a result of the investigation.
Uptown Motel residents served 60-day eviction notice following owner’s plea deal
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) - After a year-long investigation into Dilavar ‘David’ Dwivedi, owner and manager of Uptown Motel in Scottsville, the Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force and Dwivedi agreed to a plea deal. Dwivedi will forfeit the property to the City of Scottsville and avoid any jail time.
TBI Investigating Murder Case on Meador Drive, Lafayette, Macon County
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has begun working on a murder case on Meador Drive in Lafayette, Macon County. This crime scene is next to the Macon County High School. The TBI agents began their investigation on Saturday. So far, the case is ongoing and no new details have been released. Stay tuned for updates from local news channels WSMV and WKRN.
Suspect wanted in Scottsville fraud case
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A suspect has been entered as a wanted person following a fraud case in Scottsville. Scottsville police say Konesia F. Pearson, 30, of Atlanta, Georgia has been identified as a suspect after police received a call on June 15 from Hoby Dye & Read Inc. concerning the theft of $22,345.11 by a fraudulent check.
Scottsville man charged after search warrant executed in Allen County
ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) - A Scottsville man was charged Thursday after the Allen County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home. Taylor Shelton, 55, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (Fentanyl), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Fugitive from Michigan Arrested After Police Chase in Scottsville, Kentucky
A Michigan man was arrested in Scottsville, Kentucky, on Monday, followed by a pursuit by law enforcement personnel. Multiple charges were levied against the suspect, including second-degree evasion, resistance to arrest, violation of sex offender registration, provision of false identification to law enforcement, and being a fugitive from another state. The arrest was made after local law enforcement received notifications of an individual with an outstanding warrant from Michigan.
