Brandel Chamblee lives in modest 1,800-square-foot Arizona home he bought for $575K

Money really doesn’t mean much to Brandel Chamblee.

The former American professional golfer, who has been a fiercely outspoken critic against Saudi-backed LIV Golf merging with the PGA, is living in a modest four-bedroom, two bathroom home, The Post has learned.

Located in Arizona, Chamblee, 60, and wife, Bailey Mosier, shelled out $575,000 for the roughly 1,800-square-foot suburban home.

Despite an estimated net worth of $15 million, with an annual salary of $1 million, the former PGA Tour pro turned Golf Channel commentator purchased the home in June 2020 — at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior, he had been living in an also-modest 1,890-square-foot home in Orlando, Florida for nearly a decade. He bought the Sunshine State property for just $100,000 in 2011, later selling it for $450,000 the same year he bought his Arizona dwelling.

The Orlando residence recently hit the market again for $649,000.

Meanwhile, his newly purchased $575,000 home is situated in a golf course community in Scottsdale.

Built in 1996, features include an open concept with a living/dining area, and a chef’s kitchen.

The master bedroom comes with a walk-in closet.

Upgrades include a custom tile-wrapped shower in the hall bathroom, new light fixtures and a new epoxy floor, the previous listing notes.

Following Tuesday’s news of the PGA Tour and LIV Golf merger, Chamblee called it “one of the saddest days” in golf history.

“When I first heard about it, I was completely shocked,” Chamblee said. “I can’t imagine that very many people outside the 2-3-4-5 people in the room and brought this merger to fruition would have known anything about it.”

“After the shock sort of ebbed away, I was hugely disappointed. I think this is one of the saddest days in the history of professional golf.”

“I do believe that the governing bodies, the professional entities that sacrificed their principles for profits, and then I try to imagine what circumstances have led to this sort of capitulation,” Chamblee continued.

He went on to cite “intractable legal issues going on indefinitely into the future” would lead to no one profiting besides the two sides’ lawyers.

Immediately after the announcement, Brooks Koepka did not hesitate to rub salt in his wound and took a petty victory lap, tweeting, “Welfare Check on Chamblee.”

Chamblee has frequently spoken out against LIV, accusing the players who took the payouts to join the rebel circuit — including Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau and Patrick Reed — of helping the Saudi regime “sports wash” their image.

His criticism stems from Saudi Arabia’s ties to 9/11.

Last year, Reed filed a $750 million lawsuit against Chamblee and the Golf Channel, with the 2018 Masters winner accusing the analyst of “calculated, malicious” attacks that have “had a direct effect on his livelihood.”

But Chamblee has doubled down on his criticism against the LIV.

Meanwhile, Koepka recently tackled his fifth career major, winning the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill by two strokes over Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler.

LIV golfers have been allowed to play in the four majors since the tour’s inception, and Koepka was the first active member of the tour to win one.

Chamblee shares several children with his ex-wife Karen; three sons, Brandel Jr., Brennen and a daughter, Bergen. He lost his son, Braeden, as an infant.
