Charles “Todd” Hill, a former HGTV personality, was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in several multi-million dollar fraudulent schemes. According to IMDB, the 58-year-old television personality, from Los Gatos, California, appeared in "Flip It to Win It," which began airing in 2014 for 13 episodes. The show’s premise was to follow Hill and his business partner as they purchased and restored run-down properties to sell them for a profit.
Santa Cruz awarded $4 million to tackle homelessness
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — The City of Santa Cruz announced they will receive $4 million from the state of California Encampment Resolution funding program to tackle homelessness. This is part of nearly $200 million in statewide support to transition people living in encampments into stable housing. Monterey County was given $11.1 million in the allotment.

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — One of the oldest restaurants in Santa Cruz is for sale. Its owners are hoping the next steward carries on its storied legacy for another 90-plus years. Bocci’s Cellar has been a local hangout in Santa Cruz’s Harvey West Park area since 1933, according to owners Larry and Gloria Behman. They have owned the property, at 140 Encinal St., since 1985. Now, they are ready to retire and are asking $1.2 million for the building and restaurant. But more importantly, they want to find the right owners to shepherd the restaurant and music venue into its next iteration, as first reported by Lookout Santa Cruz.
