What to know before you go to the Acadiana Po-Boy Festival today at West Village in Scott

The sun is shining brightly in Acadiana for the 7th annual Acadiana Po-Boy Festival at West Village today.

According to the National Weather Service, today is predicted to be sunny with a high near 88, which is perfect weather to celebrate - and eat - the famous sandwich during the annual Acadiana Po-Boy Festival.

The festival is presented by Tony Chachere’s and is scheduled from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. today at West Village in Scott. This free-entry, family-friendly event will feature Acadiana’s best po-boy samples from over 15 po-boy vendors with pricing at $3 a sample, according to the website. Some of the vendors include: Pop's Poboys; Central Pizza and Bar; Adopted Dog Brewery; and more.

While tasting these delicious sandwiches, participants will experience local music lineup from Gerald Gruenig & the Gentilly Zydeco and much more.

Fun for the whole family, the po-boy festival will also feature local pop-up shops and kids' activities. The best Acadiana restaurants in town will try to deliver their best-tasting po-boys, as there will be a People’s Choice and Judges Choice competition.
