Flowstate: Tidal Gallery Opens New Exhibit by Ceramic Sculptor Annakatrin Burnham
Tidal Gallery is thrilled to announce Flowstate, a new exhibition by local ceramic sculptor Annakatrin Burnham, opening December 6th. This solo exhibition features Burnham’s latest series of abstract forms titled “Trophies”, on view through February 4th in Old Town Eureka. Through careful placement and layered relationships, Burnham invites the audience of Flowstate to consider the choreography of each object. On her process she notes, “As these trophies come together, they shape a story and stand as dedications to the inglorious victories of daily life, the mundane, the tedious, and the darker moments that also define me”. Guests should expect to be fully immersed in an aesthetic language unique to Burnham, composed of spontaneity, experimentation, and cultivation. In addition to joining Burnham and Tidal Gallery for January and February Arts Alive, visitors are invited to attend an artist’s talk on January 25th from 2-4pm for a demonstration, where Burnham will offer insights into her work and invite attendees to participate in a collaborative experience of her creative process.
