Pa. man dies after ATV goes into fishing pond: reports

A Schuylkill County has died after the ATV he was riding went into a pond last weekend.

Police said they were called to the Locust Valley Fish and Game Club in Ryan Township for a report of a man and an all-terrain vehicle in a fishing pond behind the complex at 5:35 p.m. Saturday, according to reports from WNEP, the Times News and Fox56.

Arthur Heckman, 72, and the ATV were removed from the pond with the help of a diving team. Heckman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Heckman, who lived nearby, had been driving near the edge of the pond when the ATV slid and went into the water.
