After nearly five years, the final name has been added Wednesday morning to the memorial honoring the victims of the Schoharie limo crash. Scott Lisinicchia, the driver of the limousine when it crashed, is now part of the memorial honoring all 20 victims.

The crash happened on Oct. 6, 2018. Lisinicchia and his 17 passengers were killed when the limo’s brakes failed, and it crashed in the parking lot of the Apple Barrel Country Store. Two people in the parking lot were also killed.

The memorial features 20 stones. All but one feature the names and footprints of the other victims. The final stone was blank. Lisinicchia’s name and footprints were added to that stone Wednesday morning.

Lisinicchia name was added to the memorial on the same day Nauman Hussain is scheduled for sentencing. It also would have been Lisinicchia’s birthday.

Hussain, the operator of the limo company, was convicted May 17 on 20 counts of second-degree manslaughter. The jury held him responsible for not properly maintaining the Ford Excursion stretch limo.

Lisinicchia’s family had been in touch with the family members of the other victims. After Hussain’s conviction, plans were announced to add the final name.
