SCHENECTADY, NY (WRGB) —
Police in Schenectady say they have confirmed a city employee was arrested on drug and misconduct charges.

According to police 52-year-old Floyd H. Slater, who was the Director of Solid Waste, was arrested, charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and misconduct.
The Mayor's office tells CBS6 that Slater retired from his position effecting March 22nd. He was arrested a day later.

We were also informed that there were no documented issues in the past as far his performance.
