Savannah veteran receives new roof as thanks for his service

Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project makes it all possible

Us Air Force veteran, Garrett Ross is now on the charter fishing business and it was that business that led to an interesting occurrence, the installation of *** brand new roof on his house. Ross became friends with Jacob Cobb of S R S distribution and that eventually led him to receiving *** much needed brand new roof free of charge. Told me that Owens Corning and S and S and superior distribution were donating the roof to me because I was *** veteran and it's just, it's super humbling and we can't, can't tell everybody how appreciative we are. The new roof is being donated by S and S roofing and construction out of the Albany area. It's all part of the Owens Corning Roof deployment project. Well, we just like to give back to our soldiers and people that serve for our country and I mean, they put *** lot of sacrifice into it and the least we can do is get back, putting *** roof on *** home can be very expensive. So getting this new one put on his is certainly *** weight off of Ross's shoulders as stuff happened in the past few storms and leaks were developing and we didn't, we didn't have the money to fix it. So it's *** huge relief to know that it's getting taken care of and, and it's going to last *** lot longer. And while Ross is grateful for the gesture, he says these kinds of acts are not the reason you choose to serve your country. When you join the military, you're not doing it for the discount and for you to get the recognition, you're doing it because it feels like the right thing to do in Savannah, Dave Williams W J C L 22 News.
