Suspicious person report ends in drug arrest

HALFMOON, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — A Saratoga Springs man was arrested on Sunday after a suspicious person call was made to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Scott Retell, 43, faces multiple charges.

Deputies say they were called to 1683 U.S. Route 9 in Halfmoon on Sunday around 8:57 a.m. for reports of a suspicious person. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation found Retell had drugs weighing more than 1/8 ounce with intent to sell it.

Charges:

  • Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance

Retell was arraigned in the Halfmoon Town Court and is held at the Saratoga County Jail without bail, pending further action in the matter.
