CBS6 morning meteorologist Alyssa Caroprese co-hosting the event, in celebration of the organization’s mission of granting wishes for local children with critical illnesses, of which they've granted 2,030 since the year 1987.
It also marked the end of an era. Bill Trigg served as Make-A-Wish Northeast New York president and CEO for 17 years, stepping down now as the president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Vermont Jamie Hathaway will serve in that role for both chapters for the next 6 months..
“Our partnership with Make-A-Wish Vermont is going to expand our opportunities to actually reach out to more families and to be able to grant more wishes in the years ahead We're neighbors, so we've been granting wishes together for a while, so now we're going to see if we can work together and explore possibilities as the two organizations come closer.”

The gala raised funds, but also celebrated some of the wish alumni from the past year.
