The first in the Capital Region and sixth in the state, a conditional adult-use recreational marijuana shop will open in Schenectady on April 1. Don Andrews, a seasoned local businessman, will be the owner and operator of the dispensary, "Upstate Canna Co.," which will be situated at 1613 Union St. For ten years in Schenectady and Scotia, Andrews has owned and run retail stores with a focus on smoking, vaping, cannabinoid hemp (such CBD products), and accessories.
