The Santa Rosa Police Department is planning to bring a police substation to Roseland. Supporters of the plan say it would improve services in the historically underserved, predominantly Latino community. The Santa Rosa Police Department says the substation would also shorten response times in the southwest part of the city. And, Roseland residents would be able to get police assistance closer to home instead of having to travel to police headquarters across town. The substation would be in the building currently housing the Roseland library branch.
