Report: Streets above average, worse than 2014
The results of a 2023 citywide pavement assessment show while Pearland streets rate better than the national average, they’ve been getting worse over time. On a scale of 0 to 100, with 100 meaning “very good,” Pearland’s average is 74, according to the assessment performed by infrastructure expert and researcher Dr. Sadaf Khosravifar.
Apartments go through in split vote
A development plan amendment needed for a four-story apartment complex near Pearland Town Center received the final OK from the city council on Monday, a 4-3 vote. Just south of 11200 Broadway St., the complex would occupy 37 acres originally slated for a performing arts venue that after 19 years never came to fruition.

TEXAS CITY, Texas – Wan Bridge, a Houston-based builder specializing in Build-to-Rent (BTR) communities has opened Crystal View of Lago Mar in Texas City near Galveston. The neighborhood will have two-story, duplex and triplex homes designed, ranging from 1,429 to 1,883 SF. There are currently 76 units available with an additional 75 coming by the end of 2024.
