Bulk Of Weekend Arrests From DUI’s And Domestic Violence Charges

Over the weekend, local law enforcement agencies made 17 arrests, with 13 of them being DUI or domestic violence-related.

There were a total of eight people arrested for DUI, with the youngest of the bunch being a 19-year-old male from Baja, Mexico.

Regarding domestic violence , five people were taken into custody, including a 24-year-old female from Canyon Country.

Another notable arrest was for a man who was arrested by Santa Clarita Sheriff’s deputies for making criminal threats against another person and has a bail amount of $1.7 million.

Aside from that, there were a handful of minor offenses, such as having drugs in jail, committing petty theft and not complying with a court order pertaining to a domestic dispute.

While all these crimes were committed in the Santa Clarita Valley, over half of those arrested were non-residents.
