A driver was taken into custody Monday morning after a brief Canyon Country pursuit.
Around 9 a.m. Monday, deputies received reports of a driver slumped over the wheel, possibly drunk, on Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
When deputies arrived on scene, the driver fled and a pursuit was initiated, according to Arriaga.
The pursuit ended at an apartment complex on Scherzinger Lane in Canyon Country, according to Arriaga.
The driver was taken into custody, according to Arriaga.
