Child Ejected in Rollover Crash on 5 Freeway

Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County, CA: A child was ejected from a rollover crash on the 5 Freeway Sunday afternoon, Mar. 12, in the city of Santa Clarita, reported California Highway Patrol.

The rollover crash occurred around 1:17 p.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway just north of Lyons Avenue.

CHP did not release the age or injuries to the child, but did confirm to Key News Network that the child was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

CHP blocked off the carpool lane for an unknown duration of time while they investigated the collision.

Three vehicles were pulled over to the side. It is unknown if they were involved or witnessed the crash.
