Downtown businesses get ready for the start of P.O.D.A.
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Several Downtown Parkersburg businesses are participating in the new PODA in Downtown. PODA stands for Private Outdoor Designated Areas. This is a specified section of Downtown that, in those limits, you can take your drinks with you while walking around. There are some guidelines, or rules, to PODA. It must stay within the designated areas and you must use the special PODA cups. You can get the cups from participating businesses.

The idea started with Oak Grove Christian School looking to add a handicap swing to the park and the Pioneer Ladies Civitan Club hopped right on the opportunity to make that change along with Pioneer Pipe.
