SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – A series of earthquakes shook the Bay Area Tuesday morning.

A magnitude 3.5 quake doesn't usually rattle nerves, but many residents are already suffering from storm anxiety.
With all the soil saturation, the stability of hillsides and trees has been a prevalent concern in the Bay Area. Mother Nature compounded this issue Tuesday with multiple earthquakes along the San Mateo County Coast and Peninsula.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quakes started with a magnitude 3.5 that struck at 6:01 a.m., one kilometer from Pacifica and was felt to Concord.
Two more smaller quakes, both registering at magnitude 2.6, struck the same spot a few minutes later.
Former KCBS Radio news anchor Susan Leigh Taylor called in to give KCBS Radio's Eric Thomas an update.
"Two hard bumps, and certainly enough to wake me up," she described. "I definitely felt it."
Taylor said the quakes felt stronger than 3.5. "Fortunately it didn't last very long. Two hard bumps, just a few seconds, but being in Pacifica I definitely felt it," she said.
Nothing fell off Taylor's shelves and she did not report any injuries.
