The Yankees fittingly host the Giants on Opening Day, starting the season against the team that was seemingly their biggest competitors to sign Aaron Judge this offseason.

Many MLB fans thought San Francisco did sign Judge, when MLB insider Jon Heyman tweeted that the Giants appeared to be signing “Arson Judge,” a comical typo in a deleted tweet that went viral, and was quickly corrected to say that Judge had not yet made a decision.

The Arson Judge typo was the joke of MLB Twitter for days, and it made a comeback thanks to one Giants fan who hilariously reminded everyone of what could have been.

One Giants fan was walking the streets of the Bronx outside Yankee Stadium before Opening Day with an Arson Judge Giants jersey, complete with Judge’s No. 99 and all.

Money well spent.

That fan will see Judge back in pinstripes after the American League home run record holder signed a $360 million deal to return to the Yankees despite reported interest from his hometown Giants.
