On Sunday night, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

During the game, Steph Curry can make NBA history two different times.

He currently has 5,695 assists, which is tied with Hall of Famer Larry Bird for 47th on the all-time list.

The two-time MVP only needs one assist to pass Bird, and if he gets seven, he will also pass NBA legend Dwyane Wade (5,701) to move to 46th.

Curry comes into the night averaging 6.3 assists per contest and has dished out 7+ assists in 20 out of his 49 games this year.

While he is widely seen as the greatest shooter ever, the former Davidson star is also a gifted passer.

Curry's full averages on the season are 29.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per contest while shooting 49.9% from the field and 42.8% from the three-point range.

The Warriors are the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot) in the Western Conference with a 39-36 record in 75 games.

They are 5-5 in their last ten games but also in the middle of a three-game winning streak.

At home, the Warriors have been incredible, going 30-7 in the 37 games they have hosted at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

Curry has spent his entire career with the franchise (he was the seventh pick in the 2009 NBA Draft) and has led them to the NBA Championship in four of the previous eight seasons.
