What channel is FAU vs. San Diego State on today? Time, TV schedule for 2023 Final Four game

By Zac Al-Khateeb,

Florida Atlantic will take on San Diego State in the Final Four on Saturday — the first time that sentence has ever been written in history.

The 9-seed Owls and 5-seed Aztecs are both making their Final Four debuts in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, part of a March Madness edition that will see three first-time participants on this stage. Midwest Region champion Miami is the third team to reach its first Final Four.

Judging by the number of busted brackets this season, it's likely no one predicted FAU or San Diego State — certainly not both — would make the Final Four. But Dusty May's Owls and Brian Dutcher's Aztecs have earned the right to challenge for the national championship, beating 1 seeds in Houston and Alabama, respectively.

If any team remains a Cinderella in this tournament, then it's Florida Atlantic. The Owls are among the seven lowest-seeded teams to make the Final Four, and just the second 9 seed. If Florida Atlantic adds San Diego State to a list of NCAA Tournament victories that includes 8-seed Memphis, 16-seed Fairleigh Dickinson, 1-seed Houston and 2-seed Texas, it would become the lowest-seeded team to ever play in the national championship.

On the other side is San Diego State, whose brand of defense-dominant basketball has made March Madness victims of 12-seed Charleston, 13-seed Furman, 1-seed Alabama and 6-seed Creighton. The Aztecs, like the Owls, are looking for their first national championship game berth in program history — and potentially something more.
