Car Slams into Fire Truck at Scene of 2-Vehicle Traffic Collision

Chino Hills, San Bernardino County, CA: The Chino Valley Fire Department was on the scene of a two-vehicle traffic collision just after 10:00 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 5, at Grand Avenue and the 71 Freeway southbound on-ramp when a Honda Civic slammed into the fire truck temporarily trapping the driver inside.

The driver of the Honda was freed from the vehicle and was transported in unknown condition to a local hospital by paramedics.

No firefighters were injured.

The traffic collision where firefighters were already at the scene of before the crash into the truck occurred, involved minor injuries and it is unknown if anyone was transported to a hospital from that collision.

California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga Station was at the scene and will be handling the investigation.
