SAN ANTONIO – Police are on the hunt for a man accused of shooting at undercover officers on the East Side.
Two suspects were taken into custody, but the third remains on the run.
The incident began around 7 p.m. off North Gevers Street and East Houston Street when two undercover officers with the Texas Anti-Gang Unit spotted a suspicious vehicle and began following it.
At some point, they saw three people from inside the vehicle shoot towards a building. The suspects then stopped and shot at the undercover officers, hitting their car.
None of the officers were injured.
Police said they didn't fire back, but instead, blocked a large area off with the help of Bexar County Sheriff's deputies.
Residents were asked to shelter in place.
Two of the suspects were taken into custody, but one person, who they believed is armed and dangerous, is still on the run.
The two suspect, identified as Alton Green, 26, and DeAndre Ross, 28, were charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
