Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold was in UFC San Antonio when he crossed paths with NBA legend Tim Duncan. While backstage, the pair decided to have a little friendly wrestling match and it was as epic as expected.

Luke couldn’t handle Timmy

Some may not know but Duncan has been an avid fan of combat sports. He’s been training kickboxing since he retired in 2016 but has yet to compete professionally. So, when he ran into Rockhold at UFC San Antonio, he gave it a shot against a former UFC champ.

Unsurprisingly, the two drew a crowd and they were delighted with what they were seeing. In the short video, Rockhold was evidently trying his best to get the better of Duncan, but he was clearly struggling to push off the 7-footer.

“He feels strong as f—k. Aren’t you supposed to be retired?,” Rockhold said on the video.

In the end, Rockhold and Duncan laughed it off.

An upcoming fight

On a more serious note, Rockhold is set for his bare-knuckle boxing debut at BKFC 41. He will be facing fellow former UFC fighter Mike Perry in a bout that will take place next month at the 1stBank Center in Colorado.

Rockhold called it a career after he lost to Paulo Costa at UFC 278. He is yet to confirm if he will be making a UFC return but he claims he could beat reigning middleweight champion Alex Pereira if he’s 100% healthy.
