A 36-year-old man from Augusta was recently arrested in Coffee County after a drug detective reportedly witnessed him strike a woman in a vehicle. The altercation, according to the victim, stemmed from her forgetting money to purchase drinks. Detectives also reported discovering suspected methamphetamine on the suspect, Brandon Durden, and other drug-related objects inside the vehicle, leading to additional charges.
