Spring is officially here!
If you're wanting to get out and explore the city and surrounding area, here are a few family-friendly events going on around town.
Spread your wings and flutter down to the San Antonio Zoo for the 8th Annual Monarch Fest. It's a two-day festival celebrating our insect friends.
There will be a cowboy dance party, free native milkweed and seed giveaway, a DIY butterfly feeder, and more! The Monarch Fest is included with standard admission and is free to zoo members.

From the zoo, spring on down to Rockberry Ranch for the Berries and Blooms Festival.
You'll have the opportunity to pick Texas-grown strawberries, enjoy buttercup flower fields, photo opportunities, butterfly releases, and more!
Rockberry Ranch is located at 995 W Gates Valley Road in Poteet.
Head to their website for more information.
On Saturday, you can experience the hard hits and mingle with skaters at the Alamo City Roller Girls 2023 Season Opener featuring the fierce Las Tejanas! They'll be taking on the North Texas Roller Derby team.
It's all happening Saturday at the Shrine Auditorium at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $15 at the door with proceeds benefiting Shriners Childrens Hospital and ACRG. Children 10 years old and younger get in free.
Calling all humans and doggos! This Sunday is The Dog Guide San Antonio's Downtown Dog Market at Legacy Park.
Organizers are going green for the March market and hosting a pet supply swap. You can also donate your gently used items to local dogs in need.
There will be live music by The AM Project and delicious bites at Pinkerton's BBQ.
It's all going down from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Legacy Park downtown.
Good news corn lovers, because the Elotes are back for the 3rd annual San Antonio Roasted Corn Festival.
Several Elote vendors, food vendors, and merch booths will be there. Organizers will also host live entertainment, Folklorico dancers, and a live DJ to enjoy while you eat your Elote.
The event is free but you will have to pay for parking. It's happening on the east side at 7701 FM 1346, San Antonio, TX 78220.
