SAN ANTONIO – Fiesta fans can get pre-loved paper flowers that previously adorned Battle of Flowers Parade floats during a giveaway on Saturday morning.

Organizers said hundreds of “gently worn” and handmade paper flowers will be available starting at 10 a.m. at the Battle of Flowers float warehouse, or “The Den,” at 306 Stafford St., near South New Braunfels Avenue and Interstate 35.

“The ladies in yellow will be giving away paper flowers in hopes that schools, churches and nonprofit organizations may spread flower power throughout Fiesta,” organizers said.

They will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis until they are gone.

People should bring their own bags or boxes to cart off the flowers.

This year’s Battle of Flowers Parade will take place on April 28.
