SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — A San Angelo man has died after being involved in a rollover crash on FM-2105 that occurred over the weekend.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at the intersection of FM-2015 and Oilfield Drive.

TxDPS’ preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a 1999 Ford F-250 pickup turned west onto FM-2105 and began accelerating prior to entering the westbound lane. The driver of another vehicle, a 2004 Ford F-250 pickup, struck the back of the truck while it was still on the improved shoulder of the roadway.

The 1999 pickup pulled over and stopped, while the 2004 pickup continued into a nearby borrow ditch and struck a fence. The vehicle rolled onto its side and skidded before coming to a rest upright at the entrance of Oilfield Drive.

The driver of the 2004 truck, identified as 43-year-old Timothy James Clark of San Angelo, died as a result of the collision. The driver of the 1999 truck suffered no injuries.

The speed limit was 60 mph in the area where the collision occurred. The weather was considered to be clear during the time of the crash, and road conditions were dry.
