Threats Made Against Grape Creek ISD

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Grape Creek ISD is currently investigating a threat to the district middle school. 

According to a message sent out to parents of Grape Creek ISD, on May 4, 2023, an alert of a school threat was received from the ISD’s threat alert site. The threat was against the Grape Creek Middle School. 

While at this time school is on regular schedule, the district confirms it is working with law enforcement to investigate the threat. 

This is the third school in the Concho Valley this past two weeks to have a threat. The other two were TLCA and Ballinger High School. 

The following is the the message that was sent to parents:

Dear Grape Creek Family,

An anonymous report of a rumored potential threat at Grape Creek Middle School was received through the "Stop It" application this evening. Law enforcement and Grape Creek ISD officials are diligently investigating and are taking proactive measures to protect the safety and welfare of our students and staff. It is important to note that, at this time, this threat is rumored, but all precautionary measures will be taken to ensure the safety and welfare of all students and staff. Any first hand information about this incident can be reported to Grape Creek Middle School Administration.
