Benefit Car & Bike Show & Cook Off in Rowena Draws Huge Crowd

 

SAN ANGELO – Hundreds of car and motorcycle enthusiasts and spectators converged on the small hamlet of Rowena Saturday for a car show, cook off and live music Saturday. 

The weather was great for outdoor events Saturday as around 50 antique and unique cars, trucks, motorcycles and even a tractor were on display on the Main Street in Rowena about 30 minutes northeast of San Angelo on US 67 near Ballinger.

According to the group's Facebook, the Texas Stock Rally Car & Bike Show was held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Rowena. 

There was live music at the Rowena Fillin' Station and the Horny Toad.  

There was also a cook off for brisket, ribs and beans.  A corn hole tournament was held Saturday during the festivities and there were games for the kids.  

Proceeds from the Rowena celebration Saturday go to the Rowena Volunteer Fire Department, Law Enforcement Supporters and St. Judes for Children.
