American Red Cross assisting 4 families in Aiken, Saluda County
RIDGE SPRING, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The American Red Cross is assisting four families whose homes were damaged by separate fires Monday afternoon. In Ridge Spring, on Deerbrook Drive, two people are receiving financial assistance for immediate needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, along with referrals to much needed resources.
GLEAMNS names 2023-24 Employee of the Year
GLEAMNS Human Resource Center has named Fitimia Sims at the 2023-24 Employee of the Year. Sims serves as the receptionist at the Rikard Head Start Center in Prosperity and has been with the agency for six years. Her dedication and hard work led to a successful year at the Head Start Center.
Prosperity buries time capsule, recognizes Eagle Scout
PROSPERITY — Three feet in the ground at Prosperity Town Hall, is a time capsule filled with Prosperity memorabilia that will be opened 50 years from now. The time capsule was officially buried last week and is filled with books, history of Prosperity, the deed and purchase of the Town Hall building, a Sesquicentennial tie, letters, a Prosperity cookbook and numerous donations from people in the community.
