Woman found dead after missing for 2 days in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – A caroline county woman reported missing over the weekend has been found dead.

31-year-old Christine Marie Pettis was found deceased in her vehicle on Filmore Street in Salisbury yesterday. Pettis was reported missing Friday.

Her family tells us it was quote “very out of character for her to” miss work. When they were not able to contact her, the Pettis’ family called police.

Salisbury police are now handling the investigation. “We located the vehicle, we located the young lady in there and at this point, she has been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the state of Maryland for an autopsy. Right now we don’t suspect any foul play,” Captain Ryan Koerner with Salisbury Police Department said.
