Salisbury Man Charged in Connection to School Burglary

SALISBURY, MD – Melvin Eugene Johnson, a 34-year-old Salisbury man, has been charged in connection with a burglary at West Salisbury Elementary School on July 31, 2022.

On May 4, 2023, a search warrant was executed at Johnson’s residence where a .410 rifle was discovered in his bedroom. Johnson, a felon previously convicted of burglary, is prohibited from possessing firearms. He turned himself in on May 10, and was arrested on charges related to the burglary and possession of a firearm. Johnson is currently out on a $10,000 bond.
