The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team has punched its ticket to the Division III National Championship game, with wins in the NCAA quarterfinals and semifinals sending them to Philadelphia this coming Sunday.

The Sea Gulls (21-1), the number two-ranked team in the country, hosted their NCAA quarterfinal and semifinal matchups on Saturday and Sunday, and pulled out close victories in both.

In their quarterfinal win over Washington & Lee, Salisbury got four goals from the school's all-time points leader Cross Ferrara, along with three goals from Jack Dowd and two from James M. Bennett alum Luke Nestor to pull out a 12-9 win. Goalie Nicholas Ransom also saved 11 shots in the win.

The 2023 Salisbury University Men's Lacrosse team defeated Christopher Newport in the NCAA Semifinals to clinch a spot in the National Championship Game.

With a spot in the national championship game on the line Sunday, the only team standing in the Sea Gulls' way were C2C rivals Christopher Newport. But much like their regular season and conference tournament matchups, Sea Gulls would be too much for CNU to handle, as they pulled out a 12-8 victory. Ferrara led the way with four goals and three assists, and Brice Bromwell and Nestor added two goals each.

SU currently holds 12 Men's Lacrosse National Championships under head coach Jim Berkman, and the Sea Gulls will face No. 1 ranked Tufts at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sunday, May 28, for the chance at winning number 13.
