Regarding “Memorial Day parade in Liverpool cancelled this year; it’s been a tradition for 100-plus years“ (May 6, 2024):. I’ve lived in Liverpool my entire life and participated in Memorial Day parades in the village since childhood. At most of those parades, I saw with my Dad, Garrey Curry, as the parade marshal, running the route making sure everyone and everything was good to go. He worked hard putting the parade together, he started not long after he hung up his red Santa suit. However, what happened before the parade was the tradition he held most dear.
