Police found 155 fentanyl pills after Kansas crash

A Salina man who allegedly drove his car into the back of a pickup Monday night also faces requested drug charges after police say they found methamphetamine and 155 pills believed to be fentanyl in his possession.

Just before 11p.m. Monday, officers were sent to the 700 block of E. Neal Avenue in Salina after a car struck a parked pickup, according to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester.

First responders found a 2006 Lincoln LS driven by Gregory Walburn, 36, of Salina, had rear-ended a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500.

According to police, Walburn appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He also had a felony arrest warrant from Dickinson County.

A search conducted when Walburn was taken into custody allegedly found 155 pills believed to be fentanyl and a plastic bag of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, Forrester said. 

Walburn is being held on requested charges of Distribution of a depressant, Possession of a depressant, Possession of methamphetamine, No drug tax stamp, Possession of drug paraphernalia and Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
