Cascade's Zach Moore wins Statesman Journal Athlete of the Week

Cascade tennis player Zach Moore is the Statesman Journal's Athlete of the Week.

Moore won the newspaper's poll for top area athletes, which is voted on by readers. 

The senior won the OSAA Class 4A tennis state championship. The win is Moore's second consecutive state title.

Here is another look at the other nominees this week. 

Asia St. John, McNary track and field: She won the CVC title in the javelin with a throw of 106-8.

Mihaly Akpamgbo, West Salem track and field: He won CVC titles in the 100 meters (10.67) and 200 meters (21.89).

Brooksie Isham, South Salem track: She won CVC titles in the 100 meters (12.90) and the 300-hurdles (46.64).
