SALEM, Ore. -- The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) has found 16-year-old Mia Macias, a teenager who went missing from Salem in November, according to a Tuesday afternoon news release.

Macias went missing on Nov. 29, 2022 and was found alive on March 17.

"Sometimes when a child is missing, they may be in significant danger and ODHS may need to locate them to assess and support their safety," the release said. "(We are) thankful for the community support to find Mia Macias."

Residents can report child abuse to the Oregon Child Abuse Hotline at 1-855-503-SAFE (7233). The number is toll-free and open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year.
