Joyce Ann Olmsted, 74, of Salem, passed away at 8:19 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2023, in Patoka.

She was born November 14, 1948, in Jefferson County, Illinois, the daughter of L.C. and Nona Mae (Simmons) Eller. On November 20, 1971, in Marion County, Illinois, she married Lloyd Olmsted, and he survives in Salem.

Joyce attended Farrington Grade School and graduated from Weber Township High School. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her grandkids. In addition to her husband, Lloyd Olmsted of Salem, she is survived by her children, Curt Olmsted and wife Bobbie of Patoka, and Carol Meyer and husband Kristopher of Salem; grandchildren, Hunter Olmsted, Rylee Neff, Kynlee Neff, Kelsey Littleton, and Eric Littleton; great-grandchild, Kynsley Littleton; brother, Dale Eller; sisters-in-law, Sharon Mitchell, and Rhonda Thurman and husband Dennis; and brother-in-law, Jim Olmsted.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Johnny Eller; sister, Sue Wooden; and sister-in-law, Joan Eller.

Funeral services for Mrs. Olmsted will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, with Marty Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Donoho Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
