ST. PETERSBURG, FL– A two-year-old boy is dead after his father pulled out a gun during an argument and accidentally shot him.
The incident occurred Sunday evening at a home located at 4644 15th Ave. S.
Officials say the child’s father, Aaron Creary, got into an argument with his parents inside the home and decided to pull out his gun and fired.
Authorities say the child was struck by a bullet. Creary then attempted to drive the child to a hospital but got into an accident in a business parking lot at the corner of 15th Avenue and 34th Street South.
The child was eventually taken to a hospital where he later died.
Creary was taken into custody and is facing several charges including aggravated manslaughter of a toddler and violation of probation.
