ST. PETERS (KMOV) - Authorities are investigating after a man was fatally shot and two others were injured in a shooting in St. Peters early Monday morning. A St. Louis man was later arrested and charged in the incident.

The call for a shooting came out around 1:40 a.m. in the 1600 block of Country Acres. Arriving officers found three people shot inside of a home there. A 57-year-old man, Darin Gosejohan, was pronounced dead at the scene. A teenage girl and a woman, ages 13 and 45, were taken to the hospital for treatment with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis announced Tuesday that 51-year-old Christopher L. Harper was charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, burglary and two counts of assault. St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph McCulloch said in a press release that the shooting happened after a family dispute.

The Major Case Squad provided 18 investigators to assist the St. Peters Police Department with its investigation following the murder. Anyone with more information that could help authorities is urged to call the St. Peters Police Department dispatch at 636-278-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477).
