Woman charged in infant death murder has bond set at $500,000

The St. Louis woman charged with leaving her dead child's body at a tire store was assigned bond on Monday.

Lavosha Daniels had been in Boone County custody since June 2022 without bond.
In court on Monday, Judge Kevin Crane agreed to set her bond at $500,000.
Prosecutors charged her with Abandonment of a Corpse and Child Endangerment.
She was charged after the body of a four to five-month-old child was found behind McKnight Tire on Providence Road on August 15, 2019.
Police said the child, named Samone, died in 2017.
Prosecutors charged Staffone Fountain, 30, of St. Joseph, the father of the girl, with First Degree Murder and Abandonment of a Corpse.
