ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - the Williams Temple Church of God and Christ on Union and Doctor Martin Luther King,  partially collapsed Sunday afternoon before 4:00 pm. Bishop Lawrence M Wooten is the pastor and tells K-M-O-X, it seemed like a tornado. "Came through and hit our complex, it blew off siding from the roof, metal siding and just hit the front of our complex. And like someone had thrown a bomb into the front of it and threw debris all the way across from the side, all the way across Union Boulevard.

Bishop Wooten tells KMOX News, no one was in the church, services had been dismissed earlier. Wooten said "had they been there, someone would have been hurt or killed.
