Police investigating two Memorial Day homicides in St. Louis City

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - Police are investigating two homicides that occurred in St. Louis City Monday morning.

Around 4:30 a.m. in the area of Leonor K Sullivan Boulevard and Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. A man was found lying on the sidewalk south of Laclede’s Landing Boulevard with puncture wounds on his hip and abdomen, according to police. He was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

The second homicide occurred around 6:45 a.m. in the 4200 block of W. Margaretta. Investigators said a man was found lying on the sidewalk in the area with puncture wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not publicly identified either man. Anyone with information that can assist homicide detectives in their investigation is encouraged to call CrimeStoppers or police.
