Man identified in fatal shooting in North City alley

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - A man was found fatally shot in an alley in North City Thursday morning.
St. Louis police have reported that 22-year-old Erik Alford-Smith was killed in the shooting. According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police, there was a call for a shooting in the 4800 block of Margaretta just before 11:00 a.m.. Police say they found a man in his 20s, shot in a rear alley near Farlin and Margaretta. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
