Woman killed in double shooting, Homicide Division investigating

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal double shooting that left one woman dead and an 18-year-old man in critical condition Monday morning in Benton Park West.

According to SLMPD, an officer on patrol heard gunshots in the area of Arsenal and Iowa and found two victims, a man and a woman, suffering gunshot wounds inside a car. The woman, Jalea Hunter, 26, from Bellefontaine, was pronounced dead at the scene. The male victim was transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition.

The Homicide Division has assumed the investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Division at 314-444-5371 or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477.
