ST. LOUIS — A man died and another man and a woman were injured in a Sunday night crash on Interstate 64.
The single-vehicle crash happened shortly at 10:40 p.m. on westbound I-64 just past Hampton Avenue, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said a 2007 Ford Escape was driving on westbound I-64 went it went off the right side of the interstate and flipped over. The three people in the vehicle were ejected.
All three people were taken to a local hospital after the crash. The man riding in the front seat of the Escape was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police said the 22-year-old woman driving and the 23-year-old man in the back seat were listed in critical condition with stable vital signs.
Police on Thursday identified the man who died as 24-year-old Dennis Jones of St. Louis.
Accident Reconstruction is handling the investigation into the crash.
