During the NBA offseason, fans of the game often are eager to see what their favorite players are doing to keep up their skills into next season, as well as what they do for fun off the court. During the Thursday Night Football game between the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants , we got to see Sacramento Kings F Keegan Murray in the crowd supporting fellow Iowa Hawkeye and 49ers TE George Kittle .

In a post-game interview after a dominant 30-12 victory, Kittle spoke about his relationship with Keegan Murray:

"He just told me to have a great game. You what's crazy, I met his dad actually in an airport flying back from Iowa one time and got his number from him. He shot me a good luck text today. He was actually standing next to my family, all I said to Keegan was 'Why are you so tall? That's crazy! Hit some more three-pointers, I love seeing it.' They're going to come to some more games. Iowa people are great people, so it's just always great to see them."

For Kings football fans, the good news is you can see one of your favorite forwards at more San Francisco games this year, and due to their Iowa connection, you may see George Kittle make a few appearances at Golden 1 Center to see the electric team play.

Murray, who broke Cleveland Cavaliers G Donovan Mitchell's rookie three-point record of 187 by a fairly large margin by sinking 206 threes, was drafted by the Kings with the fourth selection in the 2022 NBA Draft. The all-rookie first-team forward will look to garner an even better season during his sophomore year, as the Kings look to make a longer playoff run after ending their 16-year drought this past NBA season.
